Yesterday we celebrated Dr. King and all his accomplishments. One way in which many celebrate was through a Day of Service. This means that some people volunteered their time in order to help their community. Some people helped clean up their neighborhoods, while others worked with some local organizations.

Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. was a great man who helped a lot of people. He was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta but died in April 4, 1968 at St. Joseph´s Hospital.

He modeled how to talk about problems in a nation and its culture. He made it OK to talk about skin color. He involved everyone. He pulled people together. He made people feel justified in believing in something different from the crowd – for doing what is in your heart.

Martin Luther King died on April 1968 in Memphis ,Tennessee he went there because he went to help garbage collectors who were on strike.The second day there he was shot and he died.
Dr. King was an inspiration to everybody. He changed the laws, in order for the African Americans to have the same rights as the Americans. The Americans did not treat the African Americans right. They could not even use the same water fountain, or bench. So he was a great influence on children, parents, people, including me!<3<3<3
